Utubor Shadrach Melvin

Utubor Shadrach Melvin is a Lagos-based painter whose work explores the human figure as a site of emotion, spirituality, and social reflection. Using expressive brushwork, bold colour, and visible marks, he creates figures that carry tension, silence, and presence. His practice engages themes of gender, identity, and spiritual memory, allowing the body to function as a living archive.
